coffee love!

~as anyone who has read my posts know, I am a coffee fanatic. Mostly iced coffee deliciousness. I tend to enjoy a cup of the hot stuff every now and again, but I always am in the mood for a tall ice packed glass of caffeinated heaven. For now, since I am still nursing, I have to keep my stronger concoctions decaff. It is ok, because I have found some recipes that are just as yummy without all the caffeine! This page is going to be dedicated to all things coffee!! I was gifted the best gift this Christmas of a NESPRESSO VIRTUOLINE. Oh my gosh folks, I have researched the kinds of drinks I can make with this baby and I can't wait to really get experimenting. The first recipe I am going to show you is the first real fun drink I have made with this bad girl. (I call her Nessa...she is just so pretty she deserved a name sake). Anyways...let's get to it!

Home Made Iced Cappuccino (will share original link to this...I tweaked some ingredients to my liking)

Here is what you will need:

*1/2 cup milk (your choice)

I used Organic Whole Milk
*2 TB Sweetened Condensed milk
*Tall Glass full of ice
*Flavored syrup if you like
*1 espresso shot
*Cinnamon

Yes! I invested in some accessories including flavored syrups and a MILK FROTHER. There were so many to choose from and some were very expensive. This one was maybe 20$? Super easy to use.

So, here is how I made mine!

First brew your espresso shot...let cool (isnt Nessa pretty?)

While the shot is cooling, froth your milk. (I added a squirt of vanilla syrup to this)
Add your condensed milk to your glass of ice
Next add the espresso shot AND the frothed milk...oh baby!
(Grab a bigger glass or mug and pour/mix a few times until everything is blended...then pour back over ice)
Sprinkle a bit of cinnamon over the top of your glass...
Add a pretty straw and enjoy!! (This was no where near big enough for me, but still yummy!)
Now, if you do not have some sort of nespresso machine, you could use a Keurig or pre bought espresso) Also if you do not own a milk frother, pour the milk into a jar and shake it up real good!!!
Folks, this is absolutely delicious!!! Just a few ingredients makes this awesome pick me up. I was a little unsure of using the condensed milk b/c I thought it would be too sweet, but it was perfect! The espresso shot balances out the sweetness of the drink. This one def gets a 5 out of 5 stars from me!
